Fingal County Council awarded the contract to EGS in 2008.  EGS were the main contractors for the project.  Kirby Bates were the Architects for the development of the course.  Environmental assessment and management was carried out by Fingal County Council.

Project Description:         

The contract comprised of the following:

  • Transplanting of 65m2 of Marrum grass
  • 54,000m3 of excavation
  • Installation of 4,000m of irrigation pipe network
  • Installation of 120 sprinkler heads and control system
  • 35,000m2 of turfing
  • 4km of Chestnut Paling fence

Construction of 4 new golf links holes adjacent to public rights of way, including site survey and setting out, site clearance, transplantation of Marram, strip and stockpile organic sand, earth moving and shaping, design and installation of full irrigation system, grassing by means of laying rolls of turf to the entire site.
