Las Terrazas de la Torre Golf Resort awarded EGS the contract in January 2008.  EGS were the main contractors for the project.  The course was designed by Nicklaus Design and the drainage and irrigation designers were Imagineur S.A.S.

Project Description:         

The contract comprised of the following:

  • 750,000m3 of excavation
  • Shaping of 62 hectares
  • 3.5km of main drainage 1.2-0.5m
  • 14.5km of primary and secondary drainage
  • 54km of irrigation pipe PE 0.4-0.05m
  • Installation of sprinkler heads 2,600 units
  • 11.5km concrete cart paths, 2.5-3m wide
  • Construction and lining of 1.8 hectares of lakes

The development consisted of 18 hole championship desert style golf course in a traditional links design, including two lakes and a practice facility over approximately 62 hectares
